Mosquitos seem to have no redeeming social value . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . according to this Ditsy Nature Documentary. First of all, they drive people (and other mammals, including rodents and cows, as shown here in CAMPING OUT) nuts with their high-pitched whining. This is a sure-fire sign of an imminent mosquito attack. It's not so much the awareness of a small amount of immediate pain being in the offing that drives prospective victims of these soulless bloodsuckers batty, but also the likelihood of being injected with such lingering terminal diseases as malaria, yellow fever, ebola and smallpox. If that isn't bad enough, the after effects of such nearly always fatal bites include extreme itchiness and unsightly reddish bumps, which are particularly disturbing when they occur on the tip of one's nose, denoting that the unwary victim is now a dead critter walking.
