Audiences are fascinated with stories about an average, peace loving, non violent person forced to commit acts of violence due to an unfortunate turn of events in his/her life. Directors like Alfred Hitchcock have made quite a few films where the man in the street is caught in a web of unfortunate events and takes up violent methods in a bid for survival. This is one such film based on a character who is an insurance agent and who has a docile , peaceful nature. He is however pressurised to kill drug runners due to the plans of undercover cops who are making efforts to eliminate drug trafficking. Abhishek plays this role with near conviction as he tackles his memory loss issues having come out of a coma. He is told that not only is he a husband to Chitrangana, a father to teenaged girl and an infant, but has also to become a type of a contract killer on orders from cops.

The film unfolds slowly and just when things become boring, the pace picks up, a point blank murder takes place and audiences sit up to take notice . From there onwards it becomes fairly engaging fare as Abhishek gets fully embroiled in few serial killings.

The film is set in middle class locality of Kolkata and the atmosphere is palpably Bengali with supporting actors speaking in heavy accent. Abhishek has performed well and his signature entry with "Nomoshkar--Ek minute--bang" gives the necessary shock to the audience.
