The plot lacked nuance and was predictable, but it was nevertheless entertaining. I love a good psychological thriller and this still held my attention. If you expect 100% realism, I would not recommend this. Some aspects had me rolling my eyes (e.g., is this the smallest town ever that they are constantly running into each other doing mundane activities? It's really that easy to escape from a psychiatric unit....). However, I do not agree with the average critic review being in the 30s; it is much closer to a 5/6.
