A sentimental time capsule of days gone by...everything was more innocent.

This is a lovely film about a very sweet and engaging counterfeiter, who didn't do it to get rich but merely to survive. As he put it when asked why he didn't take the military pension that was owed to him...he didn't need that much. He also didn't view what he did as stealing. They were one dollar bills and he always purchased something from those that he passed the bills on to, never more than one, so it was less than a dollar that they lost.

For ten years gave the secret service quite the run around. When one of their best agents was put on the case...the net finally closed on Mr. 880.

This was a fun film...it was quite educational in regards to counterfeiting and the secret service. Initially our crack secret service agent believes it to be a lovely United Nations French interpreter. When she catches on to what he is about...she leads him astray, because he was handsome and she liked the attention.

Surprisingly this film really pulls on your heartstrings.

A trip to Coney Island is a real fun excursion along with a neat time capsule visit to the floor of the U. N.

There are so many neat windows in to the past, I feel like this is a must see for any movie buff.
