Review of The Green Hornet

A young newspaper editor Britt Reid uses 'The Sentinel' to help fight crime in his city and as his secret alter ego The Green Hornet ('the modern Robin Hood'!) specifically tackles a twelve person syndicate responsible for many crimes, aided by his faithful aide Kato. Also in the mix are his efficient secretary Leonore Case (played by cute Anne Nagel) and his ace reporters big Michael Axford and wiry Jasper Jenks. It's an entertaining serial in thirteen lively chapters with constant thrills and spills. Gordon Jones as The Hornet and the great Keye Luke as Kato make a watchable team as they dash around the city in their souped-up car, the Black Beauty. There was a sequel titled 'The Green Hornet Strikes Again!' in the same year.
