Sorry but this huge budget melodrama didn't resonate with me. I can't believe that the Academy has this film as its most nominated film. The acting is all fabulous and it was perfect throughout. But thereby the plot was flimsy. And if you are an animal lover, this may not be for you. I was appalled at several cruel and brutal scenes. Not for me. I think the Academy missed the mark except for the acting categories.
