. . . running commentary of a rehashed amateur civic history pageant. Following a few run-of-the-mill views of a couple of bridges CAVALCADE OF SAN FRANCISCO abruptly segues into picturing skits with low production values, clumsy backdrops and little drama. Scant mention is made of this burg's iconic earthquakes, which is tantamount to dissecting Boston without mentioning beans. This flick will make viewers wish that they could wield the camera themselves. Most people would surely have more success finding uplifting fodder than the bozo blathering here.
