The Hardy Boys has a great combination of mystery, small town charm, nostalgia (set in the 80s), supernatural, and teen romance. The first season revolves around the boys getting deeply involved in investigating their mother's murder while their father is out of town. This experience hones the boy's investigative skills. Season one's 13 episodes tells a single continuous story that wraps up in satisfying way.
