The Quiet Man (1952)

Basically, a simple, quaint twin flame movie set in my baby's ancestrial homeland!

Set in my girl Joan Jett's paternal ancestral homeland- beautiful Ireland! Filmed in County Mayo, Ireland, to be exact, which is the place her father's people came from!

This is one of the most visually stunning films I've ever had the pleasure to behold! Maureen O'Hara sparkles like a jewel in Technicolor, John Wayne is handsome, and the whole cast helps bring the film to life.

The most remarkable thing about this movie to me, is how gorgeous it is, just on a natural level. No special effects, just a superbly special setting that is the lush Irish countryside, and it makes the movie! The Irish certainly are a blessed bunch to live within such grand beauty- which stands out even more, thanks to the art of Technicolor.

Tonally, this film is light- a light romance, comedy, and drama. It isn't a romcom though, it's more a scenic character study, Tempers flare a bit too much for my taste off and on throughout, but overall, this is a soothing, gentle, very simple movie, which I like.

Another thing I like about this movie is its twin flame elements. Anyone who knows anything about the concept of twin flames and watches this movie, will probably recognize the mirroring of a twin flame relationship going on, and other twin flame elements, such as it being a relationship between two people who come from different places, and also that what one wanted to stay away from, the other was desperate to have- so this illustrated the exposing each-other's wounds and making you face them element of twin flame relationships. The two main characters mirrored each-other in how significant (in a good or bad way) money was to them, and through that, they were forced to face their own fears and struggles around it.

This film is a must-see for any fan of its stars and the Technicolor films of the olden days.
