For me what didn't work was the super slow pacing, how much of the plot is hidden inside the movie (it feels a bit like the movie is ashamed of itself) and I specially didn't enjoy at all Kirsten Dunst & Jesse Plemons.
Every minute they were on screen I was just begging for them to go away. What a lifeless and dull performance from the couple. I wasn't expecting this having seen their previous work. But come on, Benedict Cumberbatch is from England and his accent is so much more believable than Jesse! And Jesse is from TEXAS!!
The only thing I enjoyed from this movie is Benedict, the cinematography and the scenery. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets Best Actor this year.
