This diverse group of monsters is wildly entertaining

Godzilla vs Megalon (1973) is a movie I recently watched on Tubi. The storyline follows an underwater sea organization sick of humans and their nuclear tests and send Megalon to the surface to take revenge for the devastation to the planet. They also find a way to conjure Gigan and his lasers and chainsaws to help him. A new robot on Earth known as Jet Jaguar is also under their mind control. As the Earthlings try to regain control of Jet Jaguar Godzilla returns to try and save the planet from the attack of the under water civilizations monsters.

This movie is directed by Jun Fukuda (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla) and stars Katsuhiko Sasaki (Terror of Mechagodzilla), Hiroyuki Kawase (Battle of Okinawa), Yutaka Hayashi (Bullet Train), Robert Dunham (Dogora) and Kôtarô Tomita (Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster).

This diverse group of monsters is wildly entertaining. Megalon and Gigan are a formidable pair and fun to watch destroy civilization. The models and toy planes and tanks were awesome as always. Jet Jaguar was a hilarious character and his flying was dramatically bad. However, Jet Jaguar and Godzilla were also a fun pairing, though Godzilla doesn't appear until there's 33 minutes left in the film. The final battle in this movie is absolutely outstanding.

This is another fun addition to the Godzilla series that isn't great but is definitely entertaining and worth a viewing. I would score this a 6.5/10 and strongly recommend it.
