Review of Shattered

Shattered (II) (2022)
1/10
Predictable clichéd nonsense
5 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Whiny main character, never tries anything interesting to save his own a$$; continues to "challenge" his assailants with whiny indignance when they've just threatened to hurt his wife and daughter. The biggest problem however lies with the assailants, who, like the other characters, are dumb as f#, making the stupidest decisions, having no cover up plan, or any real plan for that matter, as they torture and murder people while trying to steal millions.

Stupid decisions being key here, the MC's wife walks in with the kid, sees blood on the floor, stands face to face with the scruffed up female assailant who says they'd better come back another day, yet the wife, rather than getting the kid out of the house asap and calling the police from a safe distance, insists to see Chris immediately or she'll 'call the police'.

And a helpful bank employer isn't at all suspicious when a man comes in to collect 14 million using his thumbprint as ID but has his arm and thumb wrapped up after some so called accident. Suuuuuure.

During the last 10 seconds the female assailant tells the MC her real name. Like, who the hell cares? The writers were clearly counting on emotions we're not having after 0 character developement.

As for Malkovitch, I wonder why he took on this almost insignificant role? Makes no sense like everything else in and about this movie.
