Thar (2022)
2/10
Badlapur - but worse.

Warning: Spoilers
Harshvardhan Kapoor reminds us through this movie why nepotism in Bollywood is such a bad thing.

Other than the story being the same story as Badlapur, which was a way better movie in it's acting and it's story, the absolutely pathetic acting by harshvardhan kapoor, son of anil kapoor, who's acting seems to be so disconnected to what his story and actions are saying...

Movie tries to imbue the rustic charm of a small town set in a bygone era, and fails at both. We never feel the small town, nor that time of 4 decades back. We never connect with any of it, or ANY of the characters shown, with anil kapoor and Fatima sheikh's characters coming closest to any kind of resonance with the audience. Forget about that, even the death of satish kaushik fails to bring any feelings of sadness, which is how bad this movie was, when the sudden death of a lovable and extremely well acted character doesn't bother you at all..

Even though it's not a 1/10, still wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
