It's not a rabbit. It's a hare!

A charming British comedy of manners and "keeping up appearances" which features the recurring gag of the proper pronunciation of several aristocratic sounding last names which includes "Bucket"/"Bouquet". The ghost of a long dead aristocrat is awaken from his slumber during an air raid which creates a sensation that brings visitors from miles away around to hope to catch a glimpse of the spirit. The bomb blast also brings out a document which questions the right of the current family living in the castle to have inherited the title which leads to a court battle that results in the presence of the ghostly spirit as a witness.

With a cast led by Richard Greene and Patricia Medina (and Joan Hickson in a smaller role), this enjoyable but thin comedy of class and manners has a lot of fun, silly moments, particularly the piper sound coming out of an unseen instrument every time the butler runs to the phone or goes to open the door. It's an adorable recurring gag, almost silent movie like in how it is presented. Nice sets and production design, and fun elements of the script that has several pompous characters being cut down to size and a very amusing conclusion. The messy circumstances dealing with who is who in the large ensemble leading up to the court scene didn't distract from my general enjoyment.
