different animation

It's late 19th century France. Jaune Tom (Robert Goulet) is in love with country cat Mewsette (Judy Garland) who lives on a farm. She's tired of their peasant lifestyle. She runs away from home seeking the big city life in Paris. She encounters Meowrice who turns out to be a con-cat. Jaune Tom sets off for Paris to find her and is joined by his tiny sidekick Robespierre (Red Buttons).

I like that this is a little different style of animation. I'm not sure that Mewsette is worth it. She wasn't that nice to Jaune Tom. She rejects him at the beginning. They need to set up a better connection than simply him pursuing her. She has to show a little bit in return. If the separation is not her doing, then there would be more drive to bring them back together. The big issue is that the two cats don't spend time together. The story meanders around a lot. At the end of the day, it's not the story that I'm intrigued with. I'm more interested in the slightly different style of animation.
