Warning: Spoilers
If this was meant to be a TV series pilot, then I'm really glad it got mixed. It restores my faith in network executives that it didn't get picked up, but that's also wrecked by the fact that they actually allowed this to be filmed to test it. Barbara Eden may have been one of TV's many sweethearts during the time of "I Dream of Jeannie" but she certainly got the shaft when it came to picking out TV movies to star in. She's enjoying a quiet day at home when ex-husband Dean Jones pops by early to drop off hrt son, surprising her with the fact that he has remarried and now has a new baby and great Dane, AND needs a place to stay.

It's a stupid premise, and what follows just is aggravatingly obnoxious and unfunny, with Jones (usually very funny and charming) portraying an absolutely hideous character, hiding behind a phony charm that the audience never buys. Kenneth Mars is fairly amusing as Eden's blind date, justifiably confused by everything going on, and the irrepressible Reta Shaw adds a humorous and imperious touch in a small part. But everything else about this is not only eye rolling and maddening. Only the most patient of viewers and Eden's most ardent fans will make it through.
