Charro! Is a surprisingly good film. It features a fascinating story and great action scenes. The film's plot-driving object, a stolen, golden cannon, leads to an exciting, high stakes finale that is a perfect end to a good '60's cowboy B-movie.
Despite what one may hear, Charro! Is more story and less fluff, unlike most of Elvis' other films. And, also to set it apart from his other works, it isn't a musical. Though Elvis does sing the great main theme, there are no music or dance numbers in the actual film. To any Elvis or western fan, this movie is well worth your time.
