This was playing at a local theater recently and I decided that was a sign that I finally check out The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie. For me Bunuel's work is a bit hit or miss, which is why it's taken me so long to see this one. I have to say I found it very clever and mildly yet pleasantly humorous. I really liked all of the performances quite a lot, the cast is very solid. The story itself is quite fun and Bunuel handles the many subjects with gentle humor and in a manner that would not cause anyone to lose their appetite. I'm glad I finally checked these bourgeoisie out.
