I'm not really the target audience of this but I've always loved film rendition of musicals.. this one isn't bad but it's also not great. Watchable but not memorable. Perhaps for the target audience this will be liked, related, and understood more.
It's a basic pre teen show premise and plot. With characters focused on where 'most' of us were focused on when we were kids going through what we then believe to be a highlight of our year (love life and social life). "You're ruining my life" era basically lol.
Nothing twisted or unnecessary. Just straight forward and wholesome overall which I think is always a plus for this type of genre.
