Comical Look At Religion
3 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul, starring Regina Hall-Shaft_2019, Law Abiding Citizen; Sterling K. Brown-This Is Us_tv, Black Panther; Nicole Beharie-Breaking, 42 and Conphidance-Little America_tv, Fist Fight.

This is a comical look at religion that is based on a short film by the same name. Regina plays the First Lady to Pastor Sterling, the head of a mega Southern Baptist Church with a congregation in the thousands. They have money, cars, jewelry, a helicopter and all the other perks that come with the job. Then, Sterling has a sex scandal that darkens his life and he looses everything. After pay offs and lawyer fees, he has to start over and now he has to deal with a new church opening up that is being run by Nicole and Conphidance, former members of his congregation. Oh yeah, there is also a documentary crew following Regina and Sterling that are videoing everything, both good and bad.

It's rated R for language and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD or even rent. If you want to see it, I'd wait until it comes to tv.
