High budget movie, but weak at scenes

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what is different between cinema and uncut versions. I reviewed the uncut version I watched on Disney Plus.

KKN di Desa Penari or KKN in Dancer's Village is a movie about six students who had college fieldwork for community service in a village. At the start, the movie is convincing. The acting from every actor is very good. The cinematography, color, and movie setting is outstanding. The audio is very good.

I have not yet read the KKN di Desa Penari book, so for the core of this review I only use the movie. For a 2 hour movie, unfortunately there are too many plot holes. And something that makes it worse are many unnecessary scenes. Like what the first thing makes every bad thing happen, who is a black shadow guy, why Widya disturbed by Badarawuhi, why there are no young people in the village, why Widya and Nur not getting bath together, and more and more questions.

The motivation of most characters is weak. A character like Anton with too little exposure is very disappointed. Too little interaction with villagers, and of course what have their projects done in the village.

This is just my opinion. You can disagree or agree. It is ok. Thanks for reading.
