St. Elsewhere (1982–1988)
8/10
A great series, but 2 really bad concepts.

By and large, it was a joy to watch, and you could really get involved in the storylines. Unfortunately, they had to play some silly casting games. Ehrlich's parents, with the ridiculous storyline was a major one. They should have been a one and done forgetable set, but no, they drag them back for two more episodes. Each one was as silly and stupid as the first one was. And then, the biggest screw up of all, the final couple of minutes of the ending. Dragging that autustic brat back into the mix, (that's another character that they could have done very well without), and setting up the utterly unbelievable notion which brought the series to a close, was clumsy and insulting. After viewing it, I just decided that for me the series ended just before that fantasy garbage.
