Bad Blonde (1953)
5/10
Inexpierenced male lead and inadequate female lead

It is difficult to understand the fascination with Barbara Peyton other than the fact that it ended in miserable circumstances. I recently bought her biography which runs to no less than 600 pages, about double the normal.

Tony Wright is here appearing in his second film. So it is difficult for either of them to keep this film dramatically alive.

The acting honours for this film must go to Sid James as the trainer and John Slater as the sparring partner.

The film starts out as a boxing drama and ends up as a thriller.

Maybe this film would have been better if Hammer had cast stronger, more able leading actors.
