A very popular channel on YT features an "expert" who provides advice on how to handle difficult social situations. One of his most popular videos explains how to make friends quickly. Make a joke, he says. And one of the easiest ways to make a joke is to say the exact opposite of what people expect. If you understand that, then you understand WILL TRENT. The writers here are constantly pushing the envelope, doing the opposite of what you'd expect, and hoping to make friends quickly. With the audience. In the opener, a housewife is on her cell having an argument with her husband. Wait, she says, as she approaches her busted-in front door, someone has broken into our house. Don't go in!, says hubby, I will call 911. Instead, she busts in like Rambo, finds her daughter on the floor dead, and then wrestles a knife from the presumed killer, almost dying herself in the process. The opposite of what you would expect.
