Live by the gun, die by the gun? "Depends on what kind of shot you are," fast-drawing Tom Early says. Folks in an emerging frontier community in 1880s Wyoming Territory want nothing to do with Early's kind of six-shooter justice. But he may be the only one who can stop cattlemen from destroying the town.

Stewart Granger portrays Early and Rhonda Fleming (Gunfight at the O. K. Corral) co-stars in this Western morality tale which looks great in CinemaScope and location, and boasts some good performances from Granger, who looks great in westerns, and Rhonda Fleming, however they can't save this from being dull and boring. I don't mind formulaic, but a talky and a lazy script I don't - and the actor who plays Granger's son is a poor actor. I was very disappointed when I saw this as I expected a good western.
