Review of Chupa

Chupa (2023)
7/10
Another masterpiece from Netflix.

Chupa is a movie that resembles depression, animal cruelty, and love in the best way possible. From a first standpoint, it may look like a very simple childish family movie that you'd see on the holidays to hang around, but if you actually watch it and think about it a little bit on the depper side of things. You'll start to realize that this movie is actually about very depressing and sad topics like dementia, animal cruelty, depression and many more things. It's a movie that may even make you cry, especially during the final 30 minutes or at around the 59 minute mark. The movie manages to blend horror and the sad themes from above very well, which turns it into this very realistic and absolutely adorable movie. I won't say too too much about it, as i think movies like this are better watched without knowing much about the story. But in short: This movie has a simple story, turned into an absolute masterpiece of a film. Also, the model of Chupa is really well done.
