Amazing Until it Wasn't
9 May 2023
As an avid locomotive enthusiast, this show really does give great homage to how these locomotives look and work while personifying them to adhere to a younger audience. The set designs and beautiful, the dialogue is very well written, and the music is just iconic. It isn't only for kids, but it is undeniably meant for them. It treated its audience with intelligence and all ages could enjoy it. It is only later that they removed the concept of realism from the show, dumbed it down and narrowed the audience who would actually be willing to watch it. The highlights of the show would be the first five seasons and the seasons 19-21. The rest of the show's seasons are full of episodes that may be annoying to most people that are not very young children. This is due to the lackluster writing during those periods and the setback of quality after the first five seasons. After the 21st season, the show headed to its second downfall and was rebooted to look completely different from the original Thomas we knew.
