Seems like a story you've heard before, another AI goes rogue after program is hacked and becomes autonomous. I watched blade runner pretty recently and this just feels like a knock off version. Based in the same world and concept.

There's no chemistry between some of the characters who're supposed to have it, so the scenes meant to be dramatic really aren't, like when one someone's betrayed or grieving a loss. Pretty forgettable and lacks emotion because of it.

Story's not complex, drama and action's not high octane, visually nothing dazzles, acting's nothing spectacular, plot twist pretty generic; so even if this was the first take on AI going rogue it wouldn't be that great. It's shocking that Sam Washington went from avatar to this, kinda made sense for Robbie ameil, he's in another Amazon sci-fi production called Upload, which I think is actually good for the most part.

There's too many sci-fi movies covering AI for studios to still be green-lighting mediocre takes. Even though it's not the most original of stories, stimulant could've been made much better. It's run of the mill and there's nothing special about it, a dispensable addition to the genre.
