A nice set of madness
13 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Under the cover of an assumed vulgarity, our three lascars talk about their loneliness, their malaise and simply their lack of reason to live. This is masked by sex and sexuality, which are their main preoccupation or even motivation (or let's say intention), at least during a good half of the film; by interest, to show off. After various twists and turns, each of them manages to meet a girl and this will change their lives. A lot of effective humor is sprinkled throughout the film. With elements of pure absurdity that give a flavor and makes this film singular. For example the use of the bear, or the sequence at the taxidermist's, or the sequence at the producer's. The character of Ramzy, the villain of the city, also brings his share of humor and tragedy. He is the only character punished and banished.

Another element is the use of song, which is very present, especially with the characters of Medi Sadoun and Ramzy Bedia. A lot of rap, but also hip-hop, with high level lyrics.

Franck Gastambide is not afraid to use animals, very present in the film (alive or stuffed) In short, the rhythm is there, the absurd invention is there, with a certain sense of madness, the actors are good, the characters evolve, and it will not be to everyone's taste, that's obvious.
