Very disapponting historicak Movie

First of all: this is NOT a film noir.

I don't know who put this historical drama in the genre "film noir" and after having watched this very lame film, I cannot understand the high ratings.

I like Susan Hayward, I like Robert Cummings, but they were both acting very wooden and unconvincing in this flick.

Definitely not worth your time!

Instead I highly recommend to watch real film noirs instead, master pieces like like "They wouldn't believe me", "Dark Passage", "Conflict" and "The Reckless Moment".

The plot is not new, an American man comes to Venice. He looks for the long lost letters of a poet who lived here decades ago and was in love with a woman who is still alive and resides in Venice.
