I vaguely recall a few incidents of TV exposure to Sandra Bernhard 30 years or so ago, but never enough to where I could call myself a student of her work or a fan of hers. I found out watching this for free on TUBI that she has a nice singing voice, but not to where she could make it as a contestant on "America's Got Talent".
Sandra as Diana Ross does not work. I didn't chuckle at anything for the entire 90 minutes. The message I got was "whatever I am trying to achieve here is so esoteric and intellectual that you won't get it, but it's ok as long as you tell all your friends that you do".
If Sandra Bernhard dancing in pasties and a g-string is your kind of entertainment, you might enjoy the closing number.
