By a mile Allison Sweeney's outing in the first 'The Wedding Veil' trilogy was the weakest, and I didn't think she was strong enough to carry the plotline was asked to deliver.
This 'Journey' film is a vast improvement, and is up there with Autumn Reeser's two films as being the best out of the six.
I think the reason for this is that Sweeney is better now she's not having to play out all the romantic comedy/meet cute stuff and can actually play out a story with a bit more drama.
The story holds up too, which is more than the second Lacey Chabert film did, and there's some new characters introduced too who can support proceedings. Jane Asher in a Hallmark film - that's new.
Overall, I certainly think this is a good way to round out the second trilogy and I'd urge all involved to stop while they are just about ahead.
My ranking of the trilogies is as follows:
1st
Autumn Reeser Lacey Chabert Allison Sweeney
2nd
Autumn Reeser Allision Sweeney Lacey Chabert.
