This movie has it all! It's funny, sweet, dramatic. It brings all the feels. Madeline is a teenage girl who discovers her father's secret. It's really about her own problems dealing with the secret, but there are a lot of other characters that have secrets of their own. About the only characters who don't have secrets are the grandparents.
The acting is great, especially the sisters who really act like they grew up together. The father and the boyfriend have good chemistry together, and you really get a sense of how hard it is for them to be closeted in the 70's, but still want to be in love.
The movie is in the 70's, and it really has an authentic 70's feel to it, but without hitting you in the head with it like some movies do.
