Review of Sara

Sara (2014)

Too slow... But not bad.
4 September 2023
I had no clue what i was getting into, i just saw that this was from the director of two movies i adore, and that's Ebola Syndrome, and The Untold Story, this... is weaker then both of those films.

I can tell you that this movie at times gets incredibly boring. Because there isn't really much going on. It's just Sara trying to get her life back in place. She was abused as a little girl, and then she goes into Thailand, where she meets another little girl, and this man that pays her school.

It's just the only character that has depth is her, everyone else isn't really that interesting. The movie isn't really anything ultra. I think a few scenes could of been cut out of this movie, and we'd have a better movie. I just wish that the story had a bit stronger depth, or characters that i can care for. Sure i cared about our main character, but the story just gets really repetitive and boring, because nothing is really going on, it's a really slow movie.

It's not bad, but it's no where near as good as The Untold Story and Ebola Syndrome, those two rock. This one as alright i guess. If you liked A Girl At My Door, and Sweet Whip, both movies that i think done a much better job then this, you'll probably enjoy this anyway.
