"Gilligan's Island" is a show you either love or you hate...and many, many people hated it. Well, years after CBS canceled the show, Sherwood Schwartz decided to try rebooting the show...or at least a reworked version of the show. Now instead of the characters all being stuck on a deserted island, now they are stuck in an old west ghost town. And, the characters in the show are roughly the same as those in "Gilligan's Island"! You have a rich guy and his wife, a Ginger and Mary Ann type, a Skipper type, a guy much like the Professor....and Gilligan! While Bob Denver isn't called Gilligan, he essentially plays the same doofus in the reworked show.
The series is posted on YouTube and I tried watching some of it. I couldn't finish because the show was THAT bad. In fact, I think it was even WORSE than "Gilligan's Island"...mostly because of all the goofy sound effects and horrible jokes.
This program makes you wonder what they were thinking when they made it. All I know is that the public clearly did NOT embrace the series and it was mercifully canceled.
