The Circle: Lucas to Filoni, The Student Has Become the Master
13 September 2023
Ahsoka Tano Episode V, the latest installment in the Ahsoka Tano series, is a testament to the passion and dedication of its creator, Dave Filoni. It's abundantly clear that Filoni has poured his heart and soul into this project, and the result is nothing short of remarkable.

In this episode, Filoni continues to demonstrate that he has truly mastered the art of storytelling within the Star Wars universe. His apprenticeship under George Lucas has paid off, as he seamlessly weaves the narrative of Ahsoka's post-Clone Wars life, delving into the depths of her character and experiences.

The choice of the theme "LIVE" to awaken Ahsoka from her PTSD is not only emotionally resonant but also a brilliant storytelling device. It underscores the fact that Ahsoka has never fully recovered from the trauma of the Clone Wars, a pain she has silently carried with her for years. This exploration of her inner turmoil adds layers of depth to her character that fans have been yearning for.

The pacing of the episode is spot-on, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. Casting Ariana Greenblatt as Young Gamora is a stroke of genius, and her chemistry with Hayden Christensen, who portrays Anakin Skywalker, is his best work ever. It's a pairing that leaves fans hoping for a spin-off TV show featuring these two talented actors.

In all honesty, it's difficult to find any flaws to critique in Ahsoka Tano Episode V. The episode feels perfect in every aspect, from the storytelling to the character development, and the overall execution. It's a testament to the dedication and talent of Dave Filoni and the entire creative team behind the series.
