Storm Warning (2007)
7/10
A very intense last act.

This is a movie of pluses and minuses. For the type of movie it wants to be, it delivers. Unfortunately one is presented with one of the roles that will make a person very annoyed. Rob and Pia set off to do some fishing, and from the start, Rob seems to know little about boats. A storm looms, but Rob says it will pass over, and then decides to go down a fork in a mangrove swamp and they run out of water. They go looking for shelter, and find a house and barn that seems decrepit. So they go in. Rob is a lawyer, but seems to be missing most of his brain cells. Because when the owners arrive, his bargaining with the two sons is less than stellar. The father is not seen, and the two sons are perfect stereotypes for backwoods yokels. The more Rob talks, the worse things get. Soon, Poppy comes down, and he seems to be the most sane of the group, but it is clear things are not going to go well. It is then up to Pia to try to devise ways to escape, but things look very grim. The last act gets extremely intense.
