Review of The Good Mother

Unfortunately Fentanyl is becoming the worst drug epidemic yet in our country. Small town Nebraska to Albany, NY to Orlando, FL to Eugene, OR. There is an underbelly of every city there is and most of us are fortunate enough to not ever see it. This movie was a very slow, predictable movie about what happens more often than not and to top it off is a mother pushing her young son so hard to be a pro athlete he ruins his arm at 15 and gets on painkillers and then when he's older and is stealing from her to Feed his habit she wants nothin to do with him. The dirty cop is all too familiar now and it's now they who we are in fear of more than the criminals! This movie could have been so much better. It was like a thousand other bland movies about a bland family in a bland town going nowhere but going through the motions of life. We have become a nation of people hunting that White Whale called the American Dream but in order to obtain it you pretty much have to sell your soul. This is a movie without soul or emotion. Just 2 more dead junkies and a sad family to pick up the pieces.
