It's a sign that your movie is no good when it can't even get a week's release in a theater before being prepared for video. The ridiculous story involves a dollhouse that looks like the original house given to a little girl as a gift and turning the family's lives upside down. Not a bad plot, but the execution of it is horrible.
Not scary in the least, just gross and pointless, filled with too much side plot of unnecessary romantic nonsense, with soap actors Robin Thomas and Starr Andrieff playing the parents. Rachel Duncan is the already dour little girl who becomes even more morose when the weird things begin to happen. Outside of a tarantula and a big bug being pulled out of someone's ear, the first half is actionless. By the time this gains some fire, the audience has most likely tuned out.
