While this was a slight rip off of the plot and set up of Gran Torino (which I was warned), this was well-acted and well done by not only Tom Hanks (who is of course good in most movies he's in), but much of the supporting cast as well. It got really emotional toward the end with how things unfolded and how his death was handled. Since it's 2022, of course it had to include a member of the LGBTQ+ community, however it didn't feel TOO forced when they introduced that character and his backstory. I liked the family that they used who turned Otto's heart pure and thought that his romantic backstory was emotional as well. This is film that many can for sure appreciate!
