Guess who's coming forever!

Warning: Spoilers
You're stuck with the parents you have, and they're stuck with you, and if you find out that they didn't actually have you through normal means, accept that, or you'll regret it. Ron Livingston, about to marry Neve Campbell, finds out from the people who raised them (Edward Herrmann and Christine Baranski) that he was adopted, and when he goes to try to find them, he is stunned by the arrival of Danny DeVito and Kathy Bates on his doorstep. This modern version of Ma and Pa Kettle completely turn his world upside down, affecting his future with Campbell who finds out that she's engaged to a snob.

One of the few comedies of the millenium to actually make me laugh (thanks to the superb performances of DeVito and Bates, who are obviously having the time of their lives), thiscisnt anything new, and considering the ratio of good and bad comedies made since 1990, that's a great thing. Beverly D'Angelo and Martin Mull appear in smaller roles, with D'Angelo hard to recognize as Campbell's mother. I wouldn't want to be around people like DeVito and Bates (as they epitify what white trash is), but they are certainly funny to watch, getting laughs without really trying. It's their world here, and the rest of the cast just moves around in it.
