Bewitched: Humbug Not to Be Spoken Here (1967)
Season 4, Episode 16

Classic TV Xmas Countdown Episode #27

Sam takes a Scroogey client (Charles Lane playing a soup tycoon named Mortimer) to the North Pole to try and get him into the holiday spirit after he makes Darrin work late on Xmas Eve.

This is a decent holiday episode - not as great as the Season 1 offering but better than the two Dick Sargent ones.

One of the most appealing aspects of this one is how adamant Darrin is in standing by his principles, even if his job is on the line - it's Xmas and his family comes first! Larry's threats mean nothing at holiday time: "There's a time for soup and a time for sugar plums".

Another nice touch was all the cuckoo clocks at Mortimer's estate - it's like they were all going off to let him know only a crazy person worked this late on Xmas Eve.

I liked that Sam taught Darrin that tinsel is hung one strand at a time - yes, that was actually a thing back then and took FOREVER, but the results were worth it. Funny when her back was turned, he just dropped a big clump on anyway.

Sam claps her hands to freeze time in this one - not her usual twitch or arm gestures. The shot of Sam in her flying suit on the broom with Mortimer in the snow is very meme-worthy. 7/10.
