Of all The Little Prince adaptations I have seen, I think this is the one closest to the spirit of the original book, having the same kind of bittersweet melancholy which permeates several passages from the novella.
The soundtrack feels oddly ominous in a couple of moments, giving an eerie feeling to rather innocuous scenes, but it was effective anyway.
As for the animation, without being incredible, is serviceable enough, helped by the simple but stylish designs.
The heavy faithfulness to the source material made this a rather enjoyable experience, with just a few minor omissions.
Deserves more recognition. And I think those viewers disappointed with the 2015 film probably should give this a try.
