Better than The Marine 2
1 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
But still not reaching the heights of John Cena's The Marine.

That said, Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin is a definite upgrade on hero from the wooden Ted DiBiasi. Of course, these are WWE Films so you're not going to get Oscar-worthy acting, but Mizanin does enough as the bloodied, steely-eyed one-man army Sergeant Jake Carter, USMC.

Sergeant Carter is home from an unnamed war and trying to reassimilate into life in his small Washington town, but instead ends up turning the PNW into a war zone when he tangles with some cronies (led by Neal McDonough) who want to highlight equality by blowing up some buildings in downtown Seattle. Apparently.

Who really cares? Once they capture Jake's sister, their days are numbered.

Explosions, gunfights, knife fights, square-jawed heroes and tearful reunions after all the bad guys are dead - 'The Marine 3: Homefront' in a nutshell.
