Review of Fire (PoZar)

Fire (PoZar) (2020)

Warning: Spoilers
Starting with the title, "Pozar" is a more specific term referring to uncontrollable flames like wildfires or building fires. It can only be associated with negative emotions and destruction, unlike the more general term "fire".

In the first scene, you see a being that resembles Prometheus hailing a flaming match above his head in glory, giving humanity a tool for their benefit.

The next scene I would summarize as tainting the power of fire with sin. We have some sort of worm which for me could be associated with decay or the devil. Next, we see a rain of apples falling which can refer to the apple of discord from Greek mythology or the apple from the Garden of Eden. Both apples are associated with temptation and sin.

In the last scene, we see a desolate space in which weird creatures start to dance. The act of dancing gives me a hunch that it's about dance macabre (dance of death). The "dancers" remind me of a combination of flora and fauna. They have an anamorphic posture with deer-like heads and their antlers are similar looking to branches of the trees.

In a nutshell, humanity has superpowers, but they misused them and now they're dead.

PS. My interpretation is just my interpretation and I think this short is better understood by the emotions that it envokes then anything else.
