You have a character probability around twelve years of age who is mute, has been attending a special school and is totally incapable of communication. She doesn't write out notes, she doesn't use sign language. I guess it's easier to hire an actress who doesn't have to do anything other than makfaces and act out. This simple fact makes the movie lose both points and credibility for reality. The basic storyline of revenge and protection of family is not bad, but the detractors make it hard to watch at times. Could have been much better if the granddaughters character was more believable over the course of the story.
