It's hard to describe in words how this film is. It's a mixture of a good watch and absolute bonkersness that I really liked. Set in a future Tokyo where the police force are now privatised, ruka is a cop looking for her father's killer. But her just like other members of the gore police unit have to deal with enhanced criminals called engineers who's manafestations become weapons in themselves. It's a strange film I won't lie but it's one of the things I've come to except from Japanese films of this type. It crosses the line in certain paths with its weird self mutilation adverts and engineer brothals. And the sheer amount of gore is pretty spectacular. Overall this film is like a art installation piece and one that's rare to find but a gem really.
