"Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism" should have been marketed as a drama from the beginning, not a horror film, and it completely fails to be a good production.

"Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism" is a poor film in all aspects, it tells a story based on real events but the director does not know what approach to give it, moving between a cheap drama with a few ineffective horror scenes. Obviously the film is a drama, but it fails to show itself as such and by also being classified as a horror film it achieves a terrible result. The cinematography is conventional, the sound design is not effective and the performances are weak, with only Madeline Claire French standing out in a supporting role with few minutes on screen. The costume design and setting are very bad, the story takes place in 1994 but the costumes look current, trying to emulate nineties fashion without success, and the setting fails completely to take us back to the '90s, all the furniture seems to be an exhibition from an antique store and does not provide the nineties style at any time. The theme of religious fanaticism could have been shown on screen in a realistic and crude way, but everything was left at a bad cinematic level. "Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism" should have been marketed as a drama from the beginning, not a horror film, and it completely fails to be a good production.
