That chattering age.

Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately a poor response from this fan of classic 30's screwball comedies, even those with songs involved. I wasn't enamored at all by the group of teens led by Deanna Durbin and Jackie Cooper terrorizing diplomat Melvyn Douglas simply for agreeing to stay at her family estate at thr invitation of her parents (Irene Rich and John Halliday), having him constantly pelted with small pebbles, claiming they're bugs, and later trying to scare him out by creating phony ghosts.

Playing a character more than accurately called "the pest", Juanita Quigley is a horror to watch, but the main issue is the forced unfunny comedy and Durbin all of a sudden believing that she was in love with this man, 21 years older than her. The change in attitude is presented unbelievably. Then there's the show within the show plot devise with Cooper turning director in a play starring Durbin as "Lady Iris". Nothing memorable about this one, although a few of the songs are passable. Aspirin replaces popcorn for this one.
