A interesting and nice excursion.

I enjoyed very much this excursion in Saint-Malo: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

There are some interesting aspects of this region: the strategic importance of Saint-Malo ( the historian Gilles Foucqueron, the town became Frernch in 1532, the forts built under Vauban, Alain-Etienne Marcel and the restoration of Le Petit Bé), the hudges tides in the Bay of Sint-Malo ( Emmanuel Duclos and the use of drones for filming the huges tides, Julien Bourbon, the pilot who guides the boats through the bay, Alexandra Durand and the story of the neighborhood of the Sillon, the visit of the Villa Louisane), the "hôtels particuliers" of Saint-Malo (the mansions of the shipowners, the hôtel d'Asfeld called now Magon-de Lalande and Olivier and Pierrick de la Rivière, the visit of the restored apartment of the 18th century), the fishermen of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc (Grégory and Tristan Jagot, the fishing of the great scallops, the chef Mathieu Aumont and the preparIng of the scallops), the low tide in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel ( the tube reefs made by the honeycomb worms explained by Yannick Daniel, the mussels farm managed by Antoine Neau, the traditional fishing using wooden traps explained by Annabelle Neau) and the buckwheat in Brittany (the miller Arnaud Menard and the "Moulin de la Fatigue", the making of buckwheat flour, Rodolphe Brebel and the making of the "galettes de sarrasin" and crepes de sarrasin, the distiller Lenaïck Lemaitre and the distilling of whisky from buckwheat and the aging in wooden barrels).

I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôme with the pilot Frédéric Dupont, with the cartoonist Pascal Bresson, with the baker Hugo Besnier, with the choir head Bénédicte, with the priest Etienne, with Solène Lavenan, with Inga Smyczynski, with the oyster farmer Olivier Bernier, with the skipper and chef Jérôme Foyer and with the owner of the Malouinière Eric Lopez; nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
